The diagnostic device PD-2 is designed to test the operability and quality of contact with the pipe wall of the sensor sensors SPRA-4 and DGK-1. The device allows directly in the carpet (in the field) to quantify the sensitivity of these devices. The diagnostic device has a block design and consists of a pumping frequency generator and an emitter (EMA converter).
Operating principle:
The principle of operation of the device is based on non-contact input into the pipe wall using an emitter (EMA transducer) calibrated by an acoustic signal that varies in frequency, simulating in one case the signal passing through the treatment device, in the other case, a liquid leak signal. The minimum amplitude of the signal introduced into the pipe wall determines the sensitivity of the diagnosed device. The magnitude of the input signal is determined by the arrow indicator.
