Drill Calibrators

Calibrators are used when drilling deep wells for oil and gas using rotational methods. The drilling mode can be either low-frequency or high-frequency rotary method using downhole motors.

PDC calibrators are designed to calibrate the borehole, improve the performance of the bit and the downhole motor.

Application area:

-drilling soft and medium abrasive rocks (calibrators type MS);

-drilling medium abrasive and hard rocks (calibrators type ST).

The working surfaces of the calibrator blades are fused with wear-resistant material to prevent premature wear. The presence of PDC teeth on the work surface increases the wear resistance of the calibrators.

The technical result is an increase in the efficiency of the blade calibrator by grinding the sludge and increasing the speed of removal of the destroyed sludge in the area of its treatment system. The paddle calibrator contains a hollow body, the outer surface of which is reinforced with rock cutting elements and made with cleaning grooves.

Practicing in Iraq showed:

KLS 444.5 drilled 972m no wear of diamond tools was detected, no defects left in working form 8KS drilled 150 cement plugs and drilled 350m wells, wear of diamond tools is not in working condition.
