Suzlon S133 2.6 MW Series Wind Turbine

The S133 is one of India's largest wind turbine generators, introduced as part of Suzlon's 3.0 MW platform to unlock unviable sites and deliver improved energy yield suitable for all wind regimes. The platform is extendable up to 3.0 MW depending on site wind conditions. It delivers a 25‑30% higher generation over the S120 2.1 MW model. The S133 features a 65m SB65 full carbon girder blade with advanced aerodynamics and flat back design, four‑point suspension with two main bearings, hydraulic gearbox mounts, a 6‑pole DFIG generator with water‑air cooling, and a casted main shaft. The turbine is available with up to 160 m hub heights (Modular Hybrid Lattice Tower), and the S133 with a 160 m tower has been commercially operating since June 2022.
