Wellhead sealing area damage has been a persistent problem for major operators throughout the world. Damage can be caused by centralizers during casing running operations and can incur substantial costs.
Seal Saver is designed to protect the wellhead sealing areas from damage when running casing. This is achieved by applying a specially engineered coating to the blades of a bow type casing centralizer. This ensures that the centralizer can pass through extremely close tolerance restrictions without damaging the wellhead. The coating has no negative impact on the centralizer performance.
Seal Saver has been tested extensively and run successfully on the Norwegian continental shelf and Danish sector by a major operator.
