As mentioned, ECTAZAN C is used to impart the required viscosity to the mortar. Mortars can be gypsum-based, polymer-potassium-based, or low-solids polymer-based, covering a wide pH range (from 3 to 12).
ECTAZAN C is resistant to contamination by divalent ions and remains stable up to 1200°C. Solutions prepared with it exhibit thixotropic properties: when mechanically applied, the solutions become more fluid, then regain their original consistency. At high flow rates, high flow rates are achieved, significantly reducing pressure losses. At low flow rates, the solution exhibits retention and removal properties.
PROCESSING RECOMMENDATIONS
The biopolymer must be carefully and gradually added to the solution container through a mixing funnel. Do not add more than one bag over a 20-30 minute period, otherwise lumps will form in the solution. The recommended concentration is generally 1-4 kg/m³.
