描述:
Lignosulfonate is a by-product of the wood processing industry. It is obtained from liquors formed during pulping. The beneficial properties of lignosulfonate include high surface activity and good solubility in water. The substance is non-allergenic, has no pronounced irritant effect, and is classified as low hazard. Thermal decomposition products formed when heated above 130 degrees Celsius pose a health hazard, adversely affecting the liver, central nervous system, and respiratory system. When working with powdered technical lignosulfonate, a full set of personal protective equipment is required, including goggles, a respirator, overalls, and gloves. Powdered technical lignosulfonate is used as a surfactant in various industries. It is valued for its ability to adsorb and form a film due to highly dispersed hydrated phases. In particular, it is used: in the mining industry – as part of drilling fluids; In foundry – for forming molds, as a component of non-stick coatings; in the production of concrete solutions – as a plasticizer, binding agent (including use for sealing boreholes); in the chemical industry – as a stabilizer, dispersant; for the production of plant protection products.

Safety requirements

Hazard class according to the degree of impact on the human body 4
Types of danger
Explosion and fire hazard Flammable substances. Fire and explosion proof.
Thermal decomposition of the product occurs at the source of a fire, releasing toxic gases such as sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide, and ammonia. For small fires, use foam extinguishers, sand, and water; for larger fires, use water, foam, carbon dioxide, and powders.
Danger to humans This low-toxic product is non-irritating and non-allergenic. No cumulative effects have been identified.
Prolonged contact with thermal decomposition products formed at temperatures of 130°C and above can cause damage to the respiratory system, liver, and central nervous system.
Personal protective equipment Special clothing (robes, overalls, gloves, protective glasses types 0 and ZN, respirator ШБ-1 "Lepestok-40" - under normal working conditions and respirator ШБ-1 "Lepestok-200" - for use in an emergency).
