Steam plant for wood chips Linka's steam plant is largely identical to the hot water plant. The big difference is that the boiler is designed differently, as it is steam that needs to be produced. The chipping plant usually consists of a scraper. A series of horizontal scrapers transports the tile to a recessed crosscut auger. This is monitored by a photocell, which ensures that the system is started when the crossbar is empty. For large installations, you can choose to handle the chips by crane. Here a travers crane with grip is installed in the storage, which grabs the wood chips and transports it to a funnel in front of the boiler. The funnel is installed with a hydraulic piston that pushes the wood chips into the boiler. The chain series is supplied in standard sizes. When calculating from power output to steam output, take the boiler power in kW and multiply by a factor of 1.56 to get the boiler steam output in kg/h. For example, an 800 kW boiler can produce 1,250 kg of steam per hour. The systems are also available for different operating pressures from 0.9 - 16 bar.
