The 400kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) is a compact, metal-enclosed switchgear assembly designed for extra-high-voltage transmission substations up to 420,000 volts. Using SF₆ gas as the primary insulating and arc-quenching medium, it integrates all live components in a sealed, maintenance-reduced enclosure. The system offers high reliability and a reduced footprint compared to conventional air-insulated designs.
