The Hoyer IE4 Premium Efficiency Electric Motor is a three-phase asynchronous motor certified to the highest IE4 efficiency class under IEC 60034-30. Available in IEC frame sizes 80 to 355 with power ratings from 0.75 kW to 315 kW. Designed for industries and applications where energy savings and reduced total cost of ownership are priorities. The motor is suitable for both marine and land-based industrial applications, with IE4 marine motors available for harsh marine environments requiring continuous operation and compliance with EU Ecodesign regulations (from July 2023, motors between 75-200 kW for land-based industrial applications must be IE4 or higher within EU/EEA). Construction features include IP55 protection, Class F insulation, a fixed bearing in the drive-end, and 3xPTC thermistors in the windings. The standard coating is Hoyer C3L. IE4 motors are designed for inverter duty and are compatible with Hoyer VSDs for additional energy savings when used in variable torque applications such as pumps, fans, and compressors. All motors are type‑tested and supplied with complete technical documentation.
