An LPG vessel (gas holder, PS vessel, BS vessel) is a horizontal cylindrical container with elliptical bottoms, equipped with nozzles (for filling, withdrawal of liquid and gas phase, for installing a level gauge and other control and measuring, safety, shut-off, and regulating valves). Purpose: for above-ground storage, reception, and dispensing of liquefied hydrocarbon gases propane, butane, and their mixtures at metal wall temperatures from minus 60 °C to plus 50 °C. Butane vessels should be used to store light fractions of gasoline. LPG vessels are used in gas supply systems of industrial enterprises, public places, residential buildings with autonomous gas supply, as well as at gas filling and gas refueling stations. Applications: oil refining, petrochemical, chemical, gas.
