Its main part is the bridge (two span beams), along which the cargo trolley moves. The bridge is installed on supports with wheels, due to which the crane can move along the crane runways. The gantry crane bridge can be completely placed between the supports, or protrude beyond them. The part of the bridge protruding beyond the supports is called consoles. Lifting mechanisms of various types and capacities with various cargo grippers can be installed on the cargo trolley - hook, container, grab, magnetic, etc. The equipment has the following set of advantages: the ability to adapt the height, span width to the specific features of a specific object; precise positioning due to strict control of the lifting and transportation systems, the ability to perform various manipulations within the work site; low noise levels during operation due to the use of electric drive systems.
