Geotechnical Drilling

Description:
Modern marine engineering surveys are impossible without geotechnical drilling. Moreover, the requirements for the depth and nature of research can vary significantly depending on the objectives of the project. Sometimes the project budget does not allow attracting expensive specialized drilling vessels for geotechnical drilling, and the possibilities of inexpensive, land drilling rigs on pontoons are not enough to ensure the proper quality of work. In this case, the best solution is a mobile drilling rig!
Overview:

The concept of the offshore mobile drilling rig ARB 20-18 of the Singapore company Armada Rig Builders allows you to satisfy a wide variety of operational requirements and combine previously incompatible parameters.

ARB 20-18 is a modern powerful drilling complex, which allows not only drilling to a depth of 700 m, but also performing any kind of sampling, as well as conducting downhole static sounding (CPT) to the entire depth of the well.

The ARB 20-18 drilling complex installed on a specialized vessel is versatile and mobile while maintaining a relatively low cost of drilling.

The installation of the complex on a non-self-propelled barge provides economical work at depths of 2 meters or more.

In the case of installing ARB 20-18 on ice-class vessels and icebreakers, it becomes possible to work in remote Arctic zones, inaccessible to most specialized drilling vessels.

The ARB 20-18 drilling complex is environmentally friendly. Drilling technology is based on a closed cycle of the use of drilling fluid. All devices and components of the complex are TUV, DNV certified. John Deer engines comply with Euro 5.
