Ball Peen Hammers are drop forged high carbon steel, heat treated, quenched and tempered heads. Polish and finish is dependent upon series. These are special purpose machinist’s hammers with a machined striking face and peen. The flat striking face is generally used for striking chisels and/or punches. The ball-like rounded peen face is generally used for shaping, straightening or bending soft metals.
