Description:
A safety data sheet is mandatory for all facilities that use, produce, process, store or transport radioactive, fire and explosion hazardous, hazardous chemical and biological substances that pose a real threat of an emergency, as well as for facilities of hydraulic structures.
Overview:
The basic requirements for the development of a Safety Data Sheet for a hazardous facility, as well as its structure and content are set forth in Order No. 506 of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia dated 04.11.2004 “On Approving a Standard Safety Data Sheet for a Hazardous Object”.
The safety data sheet is being developed at the beginning of January of the current year and is subject to adjustment or addition in case of changes in the composition of the facility and its characteristics. In the event of a change of ownership (legal entity) of a hazardous facility, the safety data sheet must be developed again.
The safety data sheet of the hazardous facility is subject to approval by the General Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia for the subject of the Russian Federation (at the location of the facility).
