Description:
GeoDrill® PC allows to combine drilling events, geological and geophysical data into a single model, make a forecast of mining and geological conditions and automate the exchange of necessary information between the drilling rig and all groups of the support center. This allows making timely and correct decisions that ensure accident-free operation, reduce complications and complete well construction on time. Tasks to be solved: Construction of 1D geomechanical models Calculation of wellbore stability Forecast of abnormally high pressure, fracture gradients Optimization of well design: number and depth of string placement Optimization of well trajectory: azimuth, zenith angle Calculation of geomechanical parameters for hydraulic fracturing and cementing Real-time drilling support The process of geomechanical modeling in GeoDrill® software, on the one hand, is strict - with a clear sequence of steps to be performed. On the other hand, it is flexible - at any step it is possible to perform the actions required by the user: additional calculations, analysis of input and calculated data, return to previous steps to change parameters. The approach implemented in the GeoDrill® software package has been tested in practice when constructing a variety of geomechanical models of varying complexity for various geological settings within the framework of the PetroGM® project activities. The modeling process in the GeoDrill® program includes the following stages: Creating a new project Loading data Processing and preparing data Interwellbore correlation 1-D geomechanical modeling – constructing a Mechanical Properties, Pressures and Stresses (MPPS) model Calculating Wellbore Stability (WBS) Sensitivity analysis of stability to wellbore azimuth and zenith angle
Overview:
The program interface is intuitive and convenient, most operations are performed interactively: Drag & Drop of well logs and tracks, interactive interpolation and data fusion, interactive cross-plot for plotting dependencies, tooltips for control buttons, user-defined hot keys. Opening any number of windows on any number of screens is supported.
Understanding the principles of geomechanical modeling and knowing the calculation methods, it will take no more than 4 hours to learn and start working in the program.
GeoDrill® contains all the main calculation methods and correlation dependencies, a mnemonic base of geophysical data from the largest service companies. The built-in Phyton language allows you to calculate curves according to the required formula and, if necessary, use them in the process.
