Medium Voltage Motors (TEFC – BBL Type MV)

Bharat Bijlee’s medium voltage motors are manufactured using the company’s proprietary Dual Circuit Cooling Arrangement (DCCA) technology. This system consists of two independent cooling circuits: a primary external circuit with cooling fins and a shaft‑mounted fan, and a secondary internal circuit using a rotor with vent holes and an impeller. This design ensures even temperature distribution and allows the motors to operate effectively in severe environments. The motors feature class F insulation with class B temperature rise, an epoxy mica‑based VPI insulation system, phase‑segregated terminal boxes, platinum RTDs for winding and bearing temperature monitoring, and non‑condensation heaters as standard.
