The GreenStar PMSM Gearless Belt Machine is a new‑generation elevator machine powered by a permanent magnet synchronous motor. It is designed for passenger elevators, offering a compact, modular, and lightweight construction with low operating noise, making it especially suitable for machine room‑less (MRL) applications. The machine uses polyurethane‑coated steel belts for suspension instead of conventional steel cables, requiring a significantly smaller sheave and providing smooth, quiet, and precise operation. It achieves energy savings of up to 30% and reduces routine maintenance requirements. The machine is configured with a KEB variable frequency drive to deliver an integrated, high‑efficiency drive solution.
