LP Series – Cylindrical Linear Motor

The LP series is a range of cylindrical linear motors that operate as synchronous motors with permanent magnet excitation. The motor consists of a rod‑shaped stator (forcer) with three‑phase windings and a moving rod (slider) with permanent magnets. The tubular design provides high force density and excellent heat dissipation. The motor is completely sealed (IP67 option available), making it suitable for harsh environments. The LP series offers high dynamics, low maintenance (no mechanical contact), and zero backlash, as there is no mechanical transmission between the moving parts. Standard stroke lengths range from 50 mm to 500 mm, with longer strokes available on request. The motor is equipped with integrated Hall sensors for commutation; an optional incremental encoder (magnetoresistive or optical) provides higher positioning accuracy. The LP series is used in pick‑and‑place units, handling systems, packaging machines, laboratory automation, and medical technology.
