Cemp is an Italian manufacturer of flameproof electric motors, founded in 1954 and among the first companies in Italy to produce explosion-proof motors. Over more than seventy years of activity, Cemp has developed one of the most comprehensive ranges of electric motors for hazardous areas available on the market. The product portfolio includes Ex db and Ex db eb flameproof motors, flameproof motors with brake, Ex ec increased safety motors, non-sparking motors, and safe area motors, ranging from 0.12 kW to 375 kW, up to 1000 Volts, single and three phase, in aluminium and cast iron constructions. The company serves demanding industries including oil & gas, chemical, mining, and marine. Since 2024, Cemp has been part of the WEG Group. Cemp offers both standard catalogue products and custom-engineered solutions developed to customer specifications.
