High-Voltage Testing Laboratory HVT-2FAV-G on a Ford Transit Chassis

The HVT-2FAV-G is a mobile high-voltage testing lab mounted in a Ford Transit DCiV 2.2 van (460EFL4H3 series) with a high roof and selectable front-wheel drive. The lab is designed for testing substation and switchgear equipment up to 10 kV, power cable lines with oil-paper insulation up to 10 kV, and with cross-linked polyethylene insulation up to 20 kV. It performs AC voltage tests up to 50 kV and rectified voltage tests up to 70 kV with current monitoring, ultra-low-frequency voltage tests with an amplitude of up to 34 kV, and cable fault location using pulsed, pulsed-arc, voltage wave, and current wave methods. It includes a UP-7M-0.5 burn-in system for converting high-resistance faults to low-resistance ones, as well as an IFL-1210 inductive search kit for accurately determining the location and depth of underground utilities. The laboratory equipment is divided into primary (installed) and auxiliary equipment; full functionality is only possible with the complete kit.
