MCV Series Inverter‑Fed Three‑Phase Induction Motor

The MCV series is a range of three‑phase asynchronous induction motors specifically designed for inverter (variable frequency drive) supply. They are manufactured in accordance with international standards IEC 34 and IEC 72. The motors are totally enclosed and externally fan‑cooled (IC 411), with an IP55 protection rating as standard (higher on request). The rotor is a welded copper‑cage design (die‑cast for smaller sizes), which ensures high reliability when powered by inverters. The MCV series uses a rugged steel frame (cast iron for smaller sizes) and is available in frame sizes from 225 up to 450, in 2, 4, 6, and 8 pole configurations (and optionally 10–12 poles). The standard voltage supply is 400/690 V, 50 Hz, with other voltages and 60 Hz available on request. The motors are rated for continuous duty (S1) and feature heavy‑duty bearings suitable for belt drive loads. They can be optionally supplied with PT100 thermistors or PTC thermistors for winding protection, forced ventilation (IC 416), space heaters, and other accessories. The series is available with IE2 or IE3 efficiency levels. Typical applications include compressors, pumps, fans, crushers, conveyor drives, and all industrial machinery requiring precise speed control via a VFD.
