Description:
GIPAN reagent is a viscous liquid ranging from yellow to dark brown. Two grades of GIPAN are produced depending on the alkali content: GIPAN-1, with a molar ratio of acrylonitrile to sodium hydroxide of 1:1, and GIPAN-0.7, with a molar ratio of acrylonitrile to sodium hydroxide of 1:0.7. The product is nonflammable, nonexplosive, and highly soluble in water.

SCOPE OF APPLICATION
GIPAN-1 and GIPAN-0.7 are used as clay mud stabilizers during deep drilling and as soil conditioners. GIPAN-0.7 is also used when drilling saline deposits.
