Temporary Processing

(Service)
Online Support Service: No
Interpretation of Data: No
Description:
The presence of a high-resolution seismic image of the medium largely determines the effectiveness of solving geological problems. The PetroTrace team uses the most advanced technologies and software from leading world manufacturers, as well as its own unique techniques for processing 2D / 3D / 4D / 4C seismic data. This allows us and our partners to effectively perform temporary and deep migration, structural interpretation and forecasting of reservoir properties.
Overview:

Data aggregation and regularization

One project may include data from several seismic surveys obtained in different surface seismic and geological conditions using various techniques, equipment and parameters of field observations. Correct integration and regularization of heterogeneous source seismic data is a key factor in determining the effectiveness of all subsequent processing procedures. PetroTrace has many years of experience balancing, reconciling and regularizing 2D / 3D / 4D survey data obtained with various observation parameters and performed during different field seasons.

Signal processing

The restoration of the true ratios of the amplitudes of reflections and the expansion of the amplitude-frequency spectrum of the recording is one of the critical conditions for a reliable dynamic interpretation. To efficiently extract a useful signal, PetroTrace uses flexible adaptive noise reduction techniques to eliminate the noise component without distorting the amplitudes of the reflected waves. To expand the spectrum of seismic recording both towards high and low frequencies, and to stabilize the pulse shape, robust deconvolution, Q-compensation and Deghosing-a procedures are used. Our own quality control tools allow us to conduct a continuous audit of the entire processing process in order to select the optimal parameters of the procedures and obtain seismic images of maximum temporal and spatial resolution with a high signal / noise ratio.

Static Corrections

Significant differences in the heights of the points of excitation and reception, as well as velocity anomalies in the upper part of the section, can significantly distort the seismic image of the medium. In the arsenal of the PetroTrace team there is a complete set of tools for correcting static corrections of different magnitudes and frequencies, both in reflected and refracted waves. We use advanced commercial software and our own methods of static correction for topography and model anomalies associated with permafrost zones, buried channels, basaltic industries and sand dunes. The IST-3MP ® proprietary seismic data processing system and methods for interactive correction of static corrections in areas characterized by the complex structure of the subsurface section of the section (VChR) allow us to restore the true position of reflecting horizons.

Multiple Wave Suppression

Multiple reflections, or the energy of waves reflected from more than one boundary, introduce a high degree of uncertainty into the structural interpretation and prediction of reservoir properties from seismic data. The presence of multiple waves makes it difficult to identify reflections from target horizons and does not allow a detailed correlation of structural and stratigraphic elements in the study interval. Handlers PetroTrace uses the most innovative methods of suppressing multiple waves of various nature, both before and after migration, including procedures such as Radon conversion, SRME, WEMA and DEGHOSTING.

Processing high-density observations

Data obtained using high-density observational systems without grouping have a higher vertical and horizontal resolution compared to data obtained using traditional field observation methods. An increase in the resolution of seismic recordings leads to a significant increase in the accuracy of structural structures and the forecast of reservoir properties. At the same time, the volume of initial seismic information obtained using high-density observation systems requires significant computing power and data storage systems. PetroTrace company has both the necessary experience and powerful resources for data processing and analysis.
