Description:

It was created in 1979 with the aim of carrying out work on the search, exploration and development of oil and gas fields on the shelf of the Arctic seas of Russia. The main result of the enterprise’s activity over the past 31-year period is the opening of a new large raw material base of the Russian oil and gas industry on the shelf of the Barents and Kara Seas, comparable in its potential to the adjacent regions of Western Siberia and the European North.

During the drilling operations, 15 oil, gas, gas condensate and oil and gas fields were discovered with reserves of 6.8 billion tons of oil equivalent registered by the state for hydrocarbon reserves. For the first time in the Russian Arctic shelf in 1987, the company launched industrial oil production on Kolguyev Island.

The discovery of a new large raw material base on the Russian shelf of the Arctic became a universally recognized fact of domestic and world significance and was marked by the award in 1995 of the State Prize of the Russian Federation in the field of science and technology to a group of specialists who made a great contribution to the scientific substantiation of the directions of work, the search for deposits, the organization and management works. Laureates of the State Prize of Steel, A.V. Borisov, O.A. Zapivchy, E.M. Reshetnyak, Yu.F. Fedorovsky, O.O. Sheremet.

Arktikmorneftegazrazvedka JSC invites all interested companies engaged in exploration and development of oil and gas fields on the shelf to consider the possibility of involving the Deep Venture (BS) drilling rig and the Murmanskaya floating drilling rig (SPBU) in their drilling projects. Technical data of drilling rigs do not limit possible mutually beneficial cooperation with drilling. The Deep Venture BS can be used as a storage vessel for supplying and providing drilling at remote offshore fields, with the function of an emergency rescue vessel, as well as for equipment placement during hydraulic fracturing in offshore wells.
