Description:
The Irkutsk Polymer Plant (IZP) is the first plant in Eastern Siberia to produce polymers from ethane, which will be provided with its own raw materials. IGP is part of the gas chemical cluster, which includes the creation of a system of enterprises for the production, treatment, transportation and processing of gas into a high value-added product. The INK group of companies has been systematically implementing this project since 2014.
Overview:
The global consumption of polyethylene is growing by an average of 4.0-4.5% per year and in 2020 amounted to about 105 million tons, so IRP capacities will be in demand both in the domestic and foreign markets. Polyethylene grades planned for production at IZP are used in mechanical engineering, medicine, heavy and light industry, including for the production of pipelines, structural parts, various types of films, and specialized medical products.
