PPGEng A-HF cable
Application of PPGEng A-HF
The described cable products can be used at nuclear power plants in the AS systems (class 2,3,4) outside the containment area (PNAE G-1-011-97). It is intended for laying networks (power supply circuits, control) in office and industrial, residential, commercial and public buildings, in subway structures. It is permitted to use PPGEng A-HF in closed rooms where computing equipment and microprocessor equipment are installed.
The main operational condition is the absence of mechanical damage during use (storage). The cable's non-flammability allows the product to be used in hospitals, kindergartens, sports complexes, schools and other facilities.
Construction of the cable PPGEng A-HF
Current-carrying core: single or multi-wire copper core of class 1 or 2. Single-core products of any cross-section have a round shape, as do multi-core cables with a cross-section of no more than 50 mm². Multi-core wire of a larger cross-section (up to 240 mm²) has a sector shape.
The insulation is made of a polymer composition. The material does not contain halogens. In a multi-core cable, all insulated cores have their own color. The thickness of the insulating material, as well as the color of the multi-wire cables PPGEng A-HF are specified in the documentation. Insulated cores in a multi-wire product are twisted into a core.
Sheath (inner): placed on top of the twisted cores. The sheath is made of a polymer extruded wear-resistant composition (without halogens). The sheath material fills the space between the cores.
Winding: tapes containing mica, the thickness of which is 0.14 mm (not less), or glass tape (one) with a thickness of 0.2 mm (not less). The winding is used for cables PPGEng A-HF with conductive cores from 50 to 240 mm2 in cross-section with overlap (more than 30%).
Armor: none. Screen: in the form of a winding. Conductive copper tapes or foil are used. The thickness of the material is not less than 0.06 mm. Shell (outer): halogen-free polymer composition.
Technical characteristics of PPGEng A-HF
- Operating temperature: from -30 to 50°C (PPGEng A-HF cables are resistant to temperature changes)
- Climatic version, type: B (accommodation category 3.4)
- Air humidity, relative: not higher than 98% at t=35°С
- Resistance to deformation: at t = 80°C (±2°C) for 4 hours for a product with an external diameter of up to 12.5 mm, for 6 hours for other types of cables
- Resistance to thermal deformation
- Non-propagation of fire during group laying
- Maximum permissible heating temperature: no higher than 70°C
- Temperature of wires during short circuit, permissible: less than 160°C
- Duration of operation of PPGEng(A)-HF in emergency mode: 8 hours per day (no more). In this case, the service life will be 1000 hours
- Minimum bending radius: 10 Dн (single-core) and 7.5 Dн (multi-core)
- Conditions for laying products: at temperatures not lower than -150C (without preheating conditions)
- Service life: 30 years (subject to transportation and storage conditions)
When exposed to open fire on the product PPGEng A-HF (smoldering of the product), the percentage of smoke formation is no more than 40%. Studies in the test chamber showed that cable combustion does not affect the reduction of light transmittance. And when the insulating material of the product smolders/burns, hydrogen chloride is not actually released (characterized by a low amount). When the protective hose and its sheath smolders/burns, about 5 mg/g is released
