Geophysical and hydrodynamic research and work in monitoring the development and overhaul of wells

Well research

To solve problems in monitoring the development and overhaul of wells, there is all the necessary equipment and apparatus. The modern complex equipment “Agat”, “Owl”, “Search”, flowmeters “Granat”, RD 150/60, etc. are used. The support and the technical condition of the wells are also controlled by modern equipment SGDT 100, EDMST, MAK 2, MAK 3, MAK 9, TsM 8-12, TsM 8-16. The solution to the problems of determining the oil saturation and the current position of the OWC is carried out using the latest developments of downhole equipment (AINK 43).

Injection well research

Tasks to be solved:

  • beating of the bottom, installation depths of the equipment, binding of perforation intervals;
  • determination of tightness of the string, tubing and packer;
  • determination of care profiles and absorption intervals, the total injectivity of the well, bottomhole pressure, annulus flows.

Studies of production and injection horizontal wells

Significant experience has been accumulated in researching horizontal wells of the existing fund, including in Bashkortostan, Tatarstan, Udmurtia and Western Siberia. To solve the problems of determining the working intervals of a conventionally horizontal section of the trunk, places of water intake, and pick-up intervals, multi-parameter equipment is used to control the development. The latest devices specially designed for such research, Agat-42KG, were also purchased. Based on the results of studies with the mentioned equipment, one can also judge the volume distribution of fluid along the horizontal section of the wellbore. The devices are delivered to the bottom of the wells using the Lateral 2007 technological complex, which allows research to be carried out even in the presence of excessive pressures at the wellhead.

Technology and devices for monitoring development

Investigation of the process of displacement of hydrocarbons in the reservoir, according to the technology developed in Permneftegeofizika of preliminary lowering of devices under the pump for the overhaul period, is carried out using modern downhole equipment to control the development, as well as using devices with autonomous continuous registration of measured parameters and their indication on the surface without involving additional equipment.

Swab Well Development

Swabbing is carried out in order to lower the fluid level during perforation of wells in the depression and their development, clean the borehole zone and increase the flow rate of the fluid, to determine the position of the dynamic levels, the rate of fluid flow into the well and, ultimately, to obtain hydrodynamic characteristics of the reservoir (reservoir pressure, hydraulic conductivity of the bottomhole and remote parts of the reservoir, skin effect, water cut of products, etc.)

Control of technological processes using stand-alone devices. Control of technological processes in cattle and, in particular, when performing hydrochloric acid treatments of several objects in a well using two packer layouts, work is underway to control the quality of packing. To do this, stand-alone devices are installed in the filter under the blank bottom packer and above the top packer in the tubing. The pressure diagrams determine the tightness of the lower packer.

Determining the nature of saturation in wells of a special design (fiberglass columns)

In wells with fiberglass columns, monitoring the process of production and waterflooding of an oil reservoir solves the following problems:

  • monitoring the dynamics of waterflooding and the current oil saturation of reservoirs;
  • determination of the mode of operation of the reservoirs, the composition of the fluid coming from the perforated intervals or located in the reservoir outside the perforation interval;
  • monitoring the technical condition of columns and cement rings;
  • monitoring changes in reservoir properties of reservoirs during operation of injection and production wells.

Hydrodynamic studies of existing wells in steady conditions

Methods for steady screening and pressure recovery:

  • measurement of reservoir pressures, determination of the filtration characteristics of the reservoirs (hydraulic conductivity, permeability, piezoconductivity) and bottom-hole zone (skin factor, hydraulic conductivity of the changed zone);
  • determination of productivity and borehole wells and assessment of the structure of the filtration flow in the reservoir;
  • identification of the presence of impermeable boundaries and zones with improved filtration parameters, fractured reservoirs;
  • issuing recommendations on the optimal mode of well operation.

The use of hydrodynamic and flowometric methods in a complex allows expanding the range of interpretation of the results of complex studies.

Search for places of fluid and gas flows into overlying formations and to the surface

To solve problems, the following methods are used:

  • VAK at different pressures in the well: normal, low (with a decrease in the level of pancreas) and excessive (with injection) to assess the gaps;
  • active noise metering to detect gas behind the column;
  • passive noise metering in motion and at points to identify filtering intervals;
  • thermometry;
  • active thermometry to detect behind-the-casing flows in the upper part of the section according to the cooling rate of the pancreas;
  • infrared thermometry in the interval of the absence of pancreas in the well;
  • repeated measurements of NGK-GK to identify technogenic accumulations of gas in aquifers and radio geochemical anomalies caused by annular flows.
