Double girder Overhead crane

All double-girder overhead travelling cranes are equipped with end stops for the crane and trolley. These devices are used to switch off the electric motors when the crane reaches the extreme positions on the tracks. At travel speeds over 30 m/min, this is a mandatory safety requirement. The steel grade for the manufacture of the metal structure of the double-girder overhead travelling crane is selected taking into account the conditions and temperature conditions of its operation. As a rule, when operating the crane in extremely low temperatures (up to - 40 degrees C), steel grade 09G2S is used. If the double-girder electric overhead travelling crane is to operate in a heated production shop, then it is possible to use steel grade "St3". Only high-quality steel from leading Russian metallurgical enterprises is used in the production of the crane's metal structure. In any case, each double-girder overhead travelling crane is manufactured in accordance with the requirements and standards of the order of Rostekhnadzor dated 12.11.2013 N 533 (as amended on 12.04.2016) "On approval of the Federal norms and rules in the field of industrial safety "Safety rules for hazardous industrial facilities that use lifting structures". Rubber buffers are installed on the end trolleys of the crane and the cargo trolley to soften and minimize the consequences of possible contact when reaching the extreme points of movement. Special metal shields are installed in front of all wheels of the double-girder overhead travelling crane, as well as its cargo crane trolley, to protect against possible ingress of foreign objects under the wheels during movement. Crane wheels are made of forgings according to GOST 28648-90 and have hardening of the rolling surfaces and the inner surface of the flanges using the sorbitization method. Hardening depth of the wheels of the electric overhead travelling crane double-beam support is within the range: 320-390 HB. The main grade of wheel steel is 65G.
