JSC "Smaz"

JSC Smolensk Aviation Plant, founded in 1926, is one of the oldest aviation enterprises in Russia. The enterprise is equipped with modern machining equipment, including 3-, 4- and 5-axis machining centers, a complex of equipment for cold and hot stamping, galvanic and paint coatings, and the production of plastic products. The existing buildings of the unit-assembly shops and final assembly shops allow assembling units, assemblies, and performing final assembly of YAK-42 aircraft, and the presence of a flight test station allows flight tests of various types of aircraft.
