Description:
An X-ray fluorescence spectrometer that combines two methods of signal extraction: crystal diffraction (wavelength dispersion - WDX) and energy-dispersive X-ray diffraction (EDX). It is designed to determine the contents of elements ranging from Ca to U in solids, powders, and dissolved substances, as well as those deposited on surfaces or filters. Using fixed energy-dispersive channels, any one or two additional elements in the range from Mg to Ca can be determined. The spectrometer is a proprietary development of NPO SPECTRON and is manufactured in St. Petersburg primarily from domestically produced components.
Overview:
Range of defined elements Scanning WDX channel from Ca to U + one or two EDX channels from Mg to Ca
Detection limits from 1 to 20 ppm (for Ca and elements from Rh to Sb about 0.05%); from 0.02% for EDX channels
Range of detectable contents from 3L to 100%
Energy resolution 60 eV on the FeKα line
Voltage at the anode of the X-ray tube up to 40 kV
X-ray tube power up to 4 W
X-ray tube anode material Ag (or Mo, Cu)
Method of isolating spectral lines Crystal diffraction + EDX channels with edge filters
X-ray optical scheme according to Johansson
Crystal analyzer LiF (200) or C (002)
Sample loading device automatic for 10 samples
Nutrition ∼220 V, 50 Hz
Power consumption no more than 100 W
PC interface USB
Consumable gases not required
