JSC Samara Cable Company (JSC SKK) continues the traditions of the famous Kuibyshev Communication Cable Plant. The history of JSC SKK has already crossed its half-century mark. On August 22, 1952, the Ministry of Electrical Industry approved the technical project of the communication cable plant in Kuibyshev. The research institute of the cable industry, Giproenergoprom, Giproaviaprom took part in its development. In 1952, building No. 1-a appeared. This year is considered the year of the plant's birth. Over the past 5 years, the product range of JSC SKK has been expanded with the following products: telephone and zonal communication cables with film-porous insulation; cables for digital subscriber access networks; power cables for 1.0 kV with insulation made of cross-linked polyethylene, including low fire hazard with low smoke and gas emission (ng-LS); Control and monitoring cables, flame retardant with reduced smoke and gas emission (ng-LS); power cables for voltage from 0.66 to 6 kV with core cross-section up to 240 mm2, including up to 1 kV flame retardant with reduced smoke and gas emission (ng-LS); cables for local computer networks (cat. 5 and 5e); trunk, city and signal-blocking cables with dry water-blocking elements; fire-resistant power and control cables, flame retardant, with insulation and sheath made of halogen-free polymer compositions.
