Dry Room (Ultra-Low Humidity Environment)

The Dry Room is an ultra-low humidity space designed for the production of secondary batteries. The system maintains a constant temperature and ultra-low humidity environment (-40°C dew point or lower) for manufacturing equipment. Shinsung E&G began developing dry room technology through a technical partnership with a desiccant rotor specialist in 2016. The company has obtained a patent for a dry booth that reduces operating costs by reducing the amount of air supplied to the local dehumidification area. The dry room features energy-saving capabilities through reduced supply air volume and dehumidifier size. The system is continuously being developed for all-solid-state battery production applications. Shinsung E&G is expanding overseas operations to meet global demand for dry rooms.
