The CLAAS LEXION 8900 is the top model in the LEXION 8000 series, powered by a MAN engine delivering 790 hp. The APS SYNFLOW HYBRID threshing system features a 17 11/16 in (450 mm) accelerator drum that accelerates crop flow at up to 66 ft/s (20 m/s), with the threshing cylinder size increased by 26% to further improve crop flow and grain quality. The ROTO PLUS high-performance rotors (17 1/2 in / 445 mm diameter, 165 11/32 in / 4,200 mm length) provide an extra-large separation area. The JET STREAM cleaning system with hydraulic fan speed variator enables intensive pre-cleaning. The grain tank has a capacity of up to 510 bushels (18,000 liters) with unloading rates up to 48 gps (180 l/s). TERRA TRAC track units are available to reduce soil compaction. CEMOS AUTOMATIC self-learning operator assistance system provides continuous active support throughout the harvesting process. DYNAMIC POWER automatically adjusts engine output to operating conditions, saving up to 10% fuel. DYNAMIC COOLING provides intelligent on-demand cooling. The combine has a top transport speed of 25 mph (40 km/h).
