Seismic data Processing

(Service)
Online Support Service: No
Interpretation of Data: No
Description:
The SMNG has two data centers located in Murmansk and Gelendzhik. Computing centers are equipped with modern high-performance equipment and are capable of processing 2D and 3D marine and ground-based seismic data in the shortest possible time.
Overview:

Computing power is represented by multiprocessor systems designed according to the scalability principle. The use of cluster technologies and the network organization of computing power allows us to obtain a flexible distributed structure that can be easily expanded and adjusted to current processing projects.

During processing, we use Landmark ProMAX / SeisSpace software version 5000.10 and IST-3MP (GSM).

SMNG specialists perform standard and advanced processing of 2D / 3D seismic data of any volumes and complexity:

  • data processing in the temporal and deep domain;
  • data processing while maintaining the ratio of amplitudes;
  • suppression of various types of interference;
  • taking into account the influence of the upper part of the section;
  • suppression of multiple waves;
  • temporary and deep migration before summation;
  • AVO analysis.

Processing performed by SMNG specialists is aimed at obtaining the maximum temporal resolution of the recording and increasing the signal / noise ratio, as well as at revealing the dynamic and kinematic features of the section. Particular attention is paid to compensating for the influence of the upper part of the section (VChR).

One of the main tasks in processing marine seismic data is the suppression of multiple waves. This task, depending on specific conditions, is solved using the basic procedures: surface-consistent multiple wave suppression (SRME), deconvolution in the Tau-P region, and high-resolution Radon transform (HR Radon). The combination of all applied multiple-wave suppression algorithms allows you to get the most optimal results.

When the velocity changes laterally, the image of the medium obtained in the time domain is distorted. Depth migration before summation allows you to get the correct geometry of reflective surfaces.

The processing graph is constantly being improved taking into account the tasks being solved and the emergence of new programs and technologies. Specialists are actively developing their own effective teaching methods.

The use of modern processing technologies and the quality of the services provided allowed us to implement the most complex projects for processing marine seismic data and data in the land-sea transition zone, both in the Russian waters (the Barents, Pechora and Kara Seas, Ob and Taz Bay, Laptev Sea and East- Siberian Sea, the Azov-Black Sea Basin and the Caspian Sea) and abroad (shelves of Cuba, Vietnam, India and Venezuela). The work was carried out both by state order and under contracts with Russian (Rosshelf, Gazprom, Rosneft, Sevmorneftegaz, Severneftegaz, Arktikshelfneftegaz, Sintezneftegaz, Zarubezhneftegaz, etc.) and foreign companies (Amoco, BHP, Hydro, Neste, BGR, ConocoPhillips , ExxonMobil, Total, BP, Statoil, Naftogaz of Ukraine, Chernomorneftegaz, etc.).
