Mais Star* Horizon Corn Head (MSH 800 B)

The Mais Star* Horizon is a corn head that combines the proven Mais Star* design with an integrated horizontal chopper. Two counter-rotating snapping rolls, each fitted with four knife bars, aggressively pull corn stalks downward in a controlled motion. The integrated horizontal chopper requires low drive power to shred gathered corn straw for faster rotting, virtually eliminating the need for mulching or follow-up chopping. The optimized position of the horizontal chopper ensures uniformly short stubble even in varying row spacings or when the combine is driven at an angle to the plant rows. The system handles mature, tough plants and is suitable for all crops even when infested with weeds or grass. The head is driven by a reliable crown wheel gearbox without chains and belts. Centaflex* couplings with dampers reduce vibration and shock loads, multiplying reliability. Gathering chains are tensioned automatically, and Geringhoff is the only manufacturer to offer automatic tensioning for gathering chains. The MSH series is available in row configurations from 4 to 16 rows with row widths from 45 to 80 cm.
