Description:
The FL 4000 is a front-mounted subsoiler from DUTZI's FL series, designed for deep soil loosening without mixing soil layers. The machine uses narrow, steeply angled tines (7-8 cm) that break up the soil in a funnel-shaped pattern at the base of the compaction layer. Leading disc coulters pre-cut the soil so that cultivator tines can penetrate cleanly without tearing out clods or mixing soil layers. The cracks formed increase root space, boost the field's usable capacity, stimulate soil life, and allow water to penetrate deeper. The optimal working depth is "a hand's breadth into the compaction layer," typically between 25 and 40 cm. The FL is the foundation of the DUTZI OnePass system and can be optimally combined with the KR rototiller and a seed drill, or used with rotary harrows. The machine is also suitable for grassland use when set to shallow depth, aerating the soil without damaging the turf.
