The 1100 kW coal gas generator is a complete genset designed to produce electricity from coal gas. It is also compatible with natural gas, biogas, and other syngas fuels. The unit integrates a gas engine, alternator, control system, and auxiliary components. The generator operates with automatic or manual control, electronic speed regulation, automatic fault monitoring, and automatic shutdown. It is built for continuous operation with an expected lifespan of more than 20 years and up to 8000 running hours per year. The genset can operate efficiently under poor working conditions. In a typical coal gasification setup, coal is first converted to synthesis gas, then the syngas is purified to remove dust, coke, and tar before entering the engine. Exhaust heat can be recovered by a waste heat boiler to produce steam or hot water for industrial or civil use, and a steam turbine may be added for combined cycle operation.
