Description:
The GE 50NG&NGS-YC4D90NL-M-EN-220V is an engine-driven generating set that converts natural gas into electrical power. A four-cylinder in-line YC4D90NL-D30 spark-ignition engine with an exhaust turbocharger and water-cooled turbine housing drives a MECC ALTE ECP34-1L/4 brushless alternator. The engine has a displacement of 4.2 L, a bore and stroke of 108 mm x 115 mm and a compression ratio of 11.5, and it delivers 60 kW at 1500 rpm. Ignition is electrically controlled single-cylinder independent high-energy ignition, and the air/fuel ratio is maintained by an equivalent-combustion closed-loop control system with an electronic governor. The electrical output is 50 kW continuous at 220 V with a power factor of 0.8, alternator efficiency of 87.4% and IP23 housing protection. Fuel is supplied at 5-50 kPa with a methane content of at least 80% and a low heat value of at least 31.4 MJ/Nm3; hourly gas consumption is 8.5 m3 at 50% load, 12.5 m3 at 75% load and 16 m3 at 100% load. The unit is applied in continuous and mains-parallel power generation for industrial and commercial sites, and it includes a gas safety train with leakage protection, a cooling system rated for ambient temperatures up to 50 degrees C and integrated data communication interfaces. The set is supplied either as an open type or in a soundproof canopy version.
