Beatimeters (Fig. 1a) are designed to control the radial runout of the dentist, that is, deviations of the distance fluctuation from the constant chords of the hollows (teeth) of the wheel to the axis of its rotation. GOST 8137-59 establishes two types of beamers: type 2 - for monitoring spur and bevel gears with a module from 0.3 to 2 mm and a diameter of up to 150 mm; type 10 - for monitoring gears with a module from 1 to 10 mm and a diameter of up to 400 mm.
