If necessary, twist or unwind pipe connections in the oil and gas industry, the KTGU pipe wrench is often used, the design features of which allow it to be used both in the corresponding mechanized processes and manually. The cold-resistant steel from which the KTGU pipe wrench is made allows the mechanism to be used in conditions of not only moderate but also cold climate. In mechanized processes, the KTGU pipe wrench is used with APR keys.
Overview:
The main part of the key are the jaws, which are connected to the handle and the sash pivotally on the fingers, for which the cotter pins act as a stop. In the sash is a spring worn on the guide. This part automatically clamps the pipe between the sash and jaws. To limit the rotation of the leaf on the jaws, a ledge is provided. Dovetail grooves are cut in the jaws and on the sash, in which two crackers are placed. They are protected against falling out of the grooves using spring clamps.
The KTGU pipe wrench develops a torque of 3 kN to 5 kN with a weight of not more than 7.5 kilograms. The production of the mechanism is carried out in accordance with specifications 26-02-1039-87. Spare parts cracker is included in the basic equipment of the device.
