An emergency rescue device of the type SPAS (Figure 1) is designed for the rapid evacuation of people from above in case of danger during fires at oil and gas towers. The emergency and rescue device allows you to quickly and safely evacuate people in case of danger from a height, using an evacuation seat with a hand brake. The descent can be carried out on a steel rope with a diameter of 12 mm, installed at an angle of 30-60 degrees.

The device is designed to be as resistant to the harshest weather conditions as possible. The emergency rescue device allows you to go down 4 meters per second, that is, it takes about 15 seconds to evacuate a person from a 60-meter height, and also has an automatic rope winding system. The emergency rescue device is available with a rope length of 60 m and 100 m. Technical characteristics are presented in table 1.
