The lightning protection unit GZ-1-35 is designed to protect the cathodic protection device (UKZ) from short-term overvoltages in the pipeline caused by lightning discharges or other reasons.
Overview:
The lightning protection unit GZ-1-35 must be installed in the immediate vicinity of the UKZ.
The GZ-1-35 block must be reliably grounded.
The GZ-1-35 block is installed in series between the output of the UKZ and the pipeline. In case of overvoltage in the pipeline, the unit diverts current to the ground to 20 kA and lowers the voltage at the output terminals of the UKZ to 56 V.
