Description:
Portable express detectors (drift spectrometer) GRIF-1M are devices of a new generation of ion mobility spectrometers.
Overview:

Their design allows almost simultaneously to determine both explosive and narcotic substances: the microscopic amount of the substance from the surfaces being checked (for example, baggage, hands, face, clothes) is either captured on a special filter using a suction device, or transferred to the devices by contact. At the same time, GRIF-1M drift spectrometers are capable of detecting both substances forming vapors at room temperature and substances whose evaporation is extremely small (for example, hexogen).

The following example speaks about the degree of sensitivity of express analyzers (drift spectrometers): devices detect the presence of a substance on a person’s hands, even if he was the sixth in a row in a chain of people, the first of whom had contact with narcotic or explosive substances.

Spectral analysis and the subsequent automatic comparison of the results with the test spectra of the desired substances that are in the memory of the devices, allows you to get an answer within 2 - 5 seconds. At the same time, the name of the detected substance appears on the monitor.

Thus, the principle of ion mobility spectrometry, which is the basis of the operation of the devices, allows simultaneous detection of a sufficiently wide range of chemicals with high speed and high sensitivity, which makes these devices very effective, including for monitoring at airports, at customs points, at checkpoints strategic objects.

PURPOSE

Express detection and identification of ultrafine amounts of a substance at ppb level (10 -14 g / cm 3 ) without preliminary preparation, measurement time - 2-5 s:

  1. Explosives
  2. Narcotic substances
  3. Poisonous substances, toxic industrial waste, pharmacological preparations.
