HOFER diaphragm compressors

HOFER diaphragm compressors are based on the principle of hermetic compression. Static seals guarantee contamination-free compression of various gases and gas mixtures such as oxygen, hydrogen, helium, argon, ethylene, fluorine, hydrosulfide, chlorine, monsilane, nitrogen trichloride, etc.

The leakage rate according to the Hofer standard is 10-4 mbar l / s, for special designs 10-6 mbar l / s. Due to their safety for humans and the environment, diaphragm compressors are indispensable for the compression of explosive gases. High purity gases can be compressed without contamination or loss.

HOFER compressor design features

HOFER diaphragm compressors have, depending on the operating conditions, from 1 to 4 compression stages. Each diaphragm head is equipped with a triple metal diaphragm and a diaphragm rupture protection system.

Multistage machines do not require a special foundation for installation as their balanced design does not generate low frequency vibration. 1-stage compressors can also be manufactured balanced for installation without a special foundation.

Diaphragm compressors are in demand wherever it is necessary to compress explosive, radioactive, toxic or high-purity gases, where special measures are required to protect the environment or the achievement of ultra-high pressures up to 4000 bar
