Description:
The safety valve PGVU / OST (explosive valve) is designed to prevent the destruction of power plants in the event of an explosion of combustible gases, as well as coal dust, etc. The explosive safety valve acts as an opening (window) in explosive elements of power plants, which is closed by a membrane, shutters and materials (asbestos sheeting, aluminum, etc.) and easily destroyed during an explosion or uncontrolled release.
Overview:

Explosive valve PGVU 091-80 is installed in the dust preparation ducts of boiler plants operating both under vacuum and overpressure.
The Tula Plant of Power Equipment manufactures safety valves with a diameter of DN 150 to 1500 mm according to the following drawings: OST 108.812.03-82 , PGVU 091-80 and PGVU 092-80 .
The explosive PGVU valve is divided into two types: round and rectangular . Round safety valves are manufactured according to standard drawings of PGVU / OST, rectangular ones according to individual drawings of the customer.
Structurally, safety explosive valves are divided into two types:
I type - horizontal valves, with a diaphragm made of aluminum or asbestos;
Type II - horizontal valves, with a diaphragm made of aluminum or asbestos, and a lifting shell. They are used with bends in those places where it is necessary to ensure the safety of maintenance personnel: near equipment service areas and walkways.
Safety valve PGVU is produced in four versions:
version 1 - installed inside the building on equipment operating under vacuum or pressure up to 200 mm of water column. (2 kPa). Diaphragm material - asbestos cardboard;
execution 2 - is installed both inside and outside the building on dust systems designed for a pressure of 4000 mm. water. Art. (40 kPa). Diaphragm material - aluminum;
version 3 - is installed both inside and outside the building on dust systems designed for a pressure of 15 m of water. Art. (150 kPa). Diaphragm material - aluminum;
execution 4 - is installed both inside and outside the building on dust systems designed for a pressure of 15 m of water. Art. (150 kPa), with a diaphragm without a seam with a notch in the middle. Diaphragm material - aluminum.
According to the current "Rules for the Design and Safe Operation of Steam and Hot Water Boilers", PGVU explosion valves are installed on the furnaces and gas ducts of thermal installations. Also, the "Instruction for ensuring the explosion safety of fuel supplies and installations for the preparation and combustion of pulverized fuel" provides for the installation of safety valves to protect fuel supply equipment, as well as dust preparation and boiler plants of power plants, industrial and heating boilers operating on solid fuel.
