Type AST SMU/SMG/SML-7000 are large capacity spring loaded relief valves designed to provide reliable and high quality overpressure protection for air, gas, steam, steam, liquid and two phase applications.
Overview:

The rugged and standardized design makes them suitable for the process and energy industries as well as the most demanding applications.
A wide range of accessories and exotic materials are available for spring loaded safety valves type SMU-7000.
Custom solutions are available such as forged block body, high pressure applications, flush nozzles, heating jacket, special connections as per licensor specification, etc. to better suit the specific process conditions specified by the Customer.

Key Features
Flanged, spring loaded, direct acting, full nozzle safety valves.
Medium: gas, steam and liquid.
Holes: "D" to "T" acc. according to API 526; intermediate holes (K2, P2, Q2, R2) and holes up to 1520.5 cm2 are available.
Set pressure range: 0.3 to 414 bar.
Temperature range: -267°C to 715°C.
Overpressure: gas and steam 3% or 10%, liquid 10%.
Purging: gas and steam from 5 to 7%.
Materials: carbon steel, alloy steel, hastelloy, monel and other materials on request.
Options: bellows, flushing nozzle, lifting lever, control plug, finned cover, limit switch, resilient or hardened seat.

Dimensions / pressure classes
Inlet and outlet size: NPS 1 to NPS 8 and NPS 2 to NPS 12.
Rating: up to ASME 2500. Special solution available up to API 6A 10000 psi.
