JSC «Irkutskgeofizika»

Irkutskgeofizika JSC has been operating for more than fifty years and today it is one of the largest specialized enterprises in geophysical and geological research in the regions of Eastern Siberia and the Far East of the Russian Federation. The company carries out a wide range of geophysical, hydrogeological, forecasting and prospecting works, geodynamic, hydrogeological and environmental monitoring.

Over the years, Irkutskgeofizika has conducted many successful studies regarding the oil and gas prospects of the south of the Siberian Platform in the unique geological and geographical conditions of the region. In the studied areas, 11 oil and gas fields were discovered, in particular, the largest such as the Kovykta gas condensate and Verkhnechonsk oil and gas fields. The Sukholozhskoye gold deposit was discovered, the Sayan group of rare-earth and polymetallic deposits, the Nepa potassium-bearing basin and others.

The company has a large team of geophysicists and geologists with many years of experience in the Irkutsk region and beyond. Irkutskgeofizika has production facilities in Irkutsk, Bodaibo, Bratsk, Ust-Kut, Zhigalovo, Malta, Ose and a network of field depots deployed directly to research areas. It includes units that were previously part of the Irkutskgeologiya and VostSibNIIIGGiMS enterprises.

The enterprise uses modern equipment and equipment for geophysical work: multichannel telemetry systems, multichannel electrical exploration telemetry stations, a powerful seismic processing system, interactive systems for interpreting geophysical data, high-precision GPS satellite navigation systems, electronic total stations, modern high-precision gravimeters and magnetometers. Irkutskgeofizika JSC works with well-known Russian and foreign companies.
