SSC RF “NII VODGEO” OJSC is the only research and development organization in the country that comprehensively solves all issues of water management in cities, settlements, industrial and agricultural enterprises. The main activities of the institute are fundamental and applied work in the field of water supply and water treatment, optimization of industrial water use, wastewater treatment and treatment of its sludge, industrial hydrotechnics, engineering hydrogeology, and protection of water resources from pollution.

The State Research Center of the Russian Federation OJSC NII VODGEO, in the direction of its activity, according to the results and significance of the research, the presence of a highly professional school of scientific staff and a modern experimental base, has no analogues in world practice.

Many developments of the center have no analogues in world and domestic practice. A number of his works were awarded State Prizes and Prizes of the Council of Ministers of the USSR, Prizes of the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of science and technology.
