The 3GP-20/8 compressor assembly consists of a compressor, refrigerators (gas coolers), gas pipeline, cooling systems and automation. The compressor is a piston crosshead machine with a rectangular arrangement of cylinders. The 3GP-20/8 compressor can operate in any climatic conditions. Upon request, the compressor can be manufactured in an explosion-proof design and used in explosive environments. Safe and reliable operation is ensured by a built-in automatic signaling and protection system. Relay or microprocessor automation is available.
Overview:

Gas compressor 3GP-20/8 rectangular piston crosshead two-stage angular for compression and movement of gases used for technical purposes in various industries. The compressor is a piston crosshead machine with a rectangular arrangement of cylinders.

The design of the 3GP-20/8 compressor is based on a standard series of machines from the COSMA Compressor Plant. A cavity is provided in the chiller or moisture-oil separator to separate liquid and oil particles, and condensate and oil are removed by periodic blowdown.

Upon request, step protection by discharge pressure, step protection by discharge gas temperature, hydraulic pressure protection, cooling water flow sensor, inlet water temperature sensor and other automatic compressor protection mechanisms can be installed. It can be non-lubricated (dry) for cylinders and seals. The built-in electric motor drives the compressor unit, the stator of the electric motor is attached to the frame lantern, and the rotor is attached to the crankshaft tail. A significant number of assemblies and parts are integrated and interchangeable.

Gas piston compressors without lubrication of cylinders and seals have the following purpose:

— pumping and compression of natural gas;

— pumping of associated gas;

— increasing the pressure (compression) of associated petroleum gas;

— supply of gas under pressure to turbines;

— compression of gases used in technological processes of various industries.

The compressor also comes with a number of documents: a passport, drawings, operating and repair instructions, quality certificates and a list of technical characteristics of this model.
