The URB-2A-2 exploration drilling rig is designed for drilling geophysical and structural exploration wells for oil and gas using the rotary method with cleaning the well bottom by flushing, blowing or transporting the destroyed rock to the surface with augers. The rig has a moving rotary head with a hydraulic drive, which is used in the drilling process. It builds up the drilling tool without tearing it off the bottom and, together with the hydraulic lift, performs the work of lowering and lifting the tool and its feed during drilling. Drilling is performed using the rotary method with flushing or blowing the well or with augers. The URB 2A2 rig is driven by a vehicle engine. The rotary head with a hydraulic drive moving along the mast is used in drilling, building up the drilling tool without tearing it off the bottom and, together with the hydraulic lift, performs the work of lowering (raising) the tool and its feed during drilling. The rotary head moves along the mast using a hydraulic cylinder and a hoist system. The hydraulic mechanism for lowering, lifting and feeding the tool provides optimal feed force, including when drilling with pneumatic hammers, and allows for highly efficient drilling in rocks of any strength category. The unit is fully hydraulically controlled and is concentrated on the driller's console. The console contains control devices and regulators for the force on the face, feed and lifting speeds, and the rotation frequency of the rotary spindle.
